Ridgeback 1 & 2

A nice trail.

Map of Ridgeback 1 and 2 mountain bike trails.

This map from the TrailForks app shows the route.

We rode the Diamond T Loop from the parking lot at Station Flats to the start of Ridgeback 1.

This is a great warm up.

The trails are all well-signed and maintained by the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance. https://www.cmbalink.com/

Note that the 9.5 km distance on the sign is for all four Ridgeback trails. We only rode 1 and 2 on this day.

A sign in the woods shows the complete Ridgeback trails as maintained by the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance.

Fun trails, a joy to ride.

At the end of Ridgeback 2, we stopped to rest by the creek. We rode back on Ridgeback 2 and then hopped on to Tom Snow instead of riding back on Ridgeback 1.

We regretted this decision as Tom Snow was the usual muddy, rutted, sloppy mess. Note to self: always take Ridgebacks both ways and never Tom Snow. Never Tom Snow.

Overall a terrific ride – 8.3 km and an elevation gain of 267 meters.
